Journal Entry Two, Part Two: Prototype One... Two!
Prototype One... Two!
Welcome back to the devlog! This post is a minor update adding to the initial Prototype One Build! Lets get right into what has changed!
Menu Systems
In this fix for prototype one I have added a foundational main menu and pause menu system! These menus are very basic and are well... prototypes! But nevertheless its still a great little addition and was a fun time to create. Surprisingly these systems have been (so far) the simplest in terms of creation process, when it comes to Ui the node system just makes sense!
These menus follow the cloud look that I've been using and will continue to use to represent this game...... I cant tell you why just yet, or at all, that will be something to find out once you have your hands on the first part of this story.
Character Textures
Along with the menus, I have also textured the main character, this took A LOT more effort than you'd think and required me to reimport and build the character's model from scratch! (so awesome ::) )
Though the character is just a placeholder it holds many details that will be present in the finalized character, who will represent YOU! The main character is the vehicle for you to enter this world, this means you will be able to customize them to better represent who you are, to an extent. The extent of this character customization will stop at style (outfits), this is because the character's outfit IS a piece of the larger puzzle.
Gameplay
Here is a new gameplay video showcasing these changes, under the video below you will also get a sneak peek into Prototype Two, showcasing the characters Home and the environment surrounding it.
