Prototype Two

We are in the final stretch before the critique build is due! Unfortunately I have had another pivot... I have decided to skip past the intro segment to the game that can be seen in the previous post. Instead I opted to build towards the first level which features more interactions. I know this will come with many errors, and it will be a difficult two weeks (till its due) but I aim to have this level somewhat feature complete and playable.... like that will ever happen : (

New Grass and Models!

This update mainly showcases the new grass as well as the models being made to occupy level one, these include a new character model, village houses, environmental objects.. and.. the characters house!


In the following image you can see the new grass which is dynamic and interactable! the player is able to run through and physically effect the grass. It is also a LOT more optimized which was a big issue for performance in previous builds.


It is much prettier than the previous grass and there are hundreds of thousands more!

Now moving on to the new models, first we can see the development of the new character model, this is a BIG improvement from the initial model and I finally put some time into figuring out how to model characters in blender.
